In a small bedroom in Korea,

Jesse Bernstein’s voice reading “Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief” flowed from the speakers of my cassette player. My mother had played the audiobook in the hope that I would learn English faster, but it did much more. It opened doors, connecting me not only to a new language and distant cultures, but to entire imagined worlds far beyond my own.

The next morning, I carried that magic into the day. My Barbie dolls, puppets, and scraps of fabric transformed into brave heroes and daring explorers. I sent them on grand adventures across my bedroom floor, built kingdoms from blankets, and shared their great tales with my small audience: my parents.

I wasn’t just playing.

I was building entire universes.

Hi, I’m Da Eun. Nice to meet you.

I was born and raised in Korea before moving to Chicago to study theater at Northwestern University. After graduation, I relocated to New York City to begin my career as a performer and playwright, where I discovered voice-over work through a workshop at Ripley-Grier Studios. I later lived in Singapore, working as a translator and interpreter for trade expos in sectors such as food, health, and fire safety, as well as teaching English. Now I’m back in Korea, ready and excited for the next chapter of my journey.

As a voice-over artist, I continue the journey I began as a child, inviting listeners to come along. Through my voice, I bring life to a long car ride, warmth to a quiet room, or company to a lonely afternoon, unfolding new worlds behind closed eyes. The magic that once carried me to sleep is the same magic I now share, shaping words into worlds that stay with listeners long after the last line.

P.S. My cat would like you to know she’s also accepting bookings. Her range? Mostly meows.

"Every story needs a standout voice. Luckily, I have a few—meow, purr, and hiss. I'm five. I love tuna, cheese, cardboard boxes, and ignoring your calls. I absolutely hate cats. So please—no other felines in the booth. My rate? One 25g can of Fancy Feast tuna per hour. Serious meows only.”
